HOLDING SHADE: A NEW COLOSSAL BEARPAD INFLATABLE CURRENTLY SEEKING FUNDING
The scale model you see before you is a representation of BEARPAD's new inflatable HOLDING SHADE coming later this year. At 30 feet tall, it features three bodies intertwined in a radical embrace and its colossal dome-like design modeled after SF's Palace Of Fine Arts could house a main stage, a private party, or simply a relief from the summer sun. Our last inflatable BIG SHADE has been a real hit and has proved this grand scale is possible, showing up at street fairs, woodland parties, and even a wedding in Palm Springs. We are a quarter of the way funded on our $2000 goal, with generous support from the SOMETHING QUEER collective arts grant. Supporters names will be written onto the side of the piece to remember who made this queer dream a reality! See links below for support options, and progress photos! Donations will go directly towards fabrication costs - we aren't paying ourselves for this endeavor, we only want to see this wild idea out in the world!
